"There is a Word from the Lord, and He's given It to me"
Welcome to my site and may God bless you with a word or song that is from His Precious Holy Spirit...from antiquity the priestly role has been to direct people to worship the Lord as He desires (and even requires!) to be worshipped.
As modern day worship leaders, occasionally we need to remind God’s people of the benefits of worship. It’s part of our role in communicating God’s truth. Modern society is dominated by one philosophical “radio station” WIFM – “What’s In It For ME?”
As worship leaders, we understand that worship is all about honoring and adoring God, humbling ourselves before Him in submission to His commands and will.. Because Jesus offers us life, and that more abundantly, as leaders we need to share the good news that there are many ways we benefit when we obey God’s command to worship Him alone
This comes from a heart motivation that is radically opposite from the “name it claim it, blab it grab it” school of theology. The scripture says “Taste and see that the Lord is GOOD”.
While we don’t worship God for his hand or what we get out of the deal, but we worship God for who He is and who we are as new creations in Christ Jesus
I encourage you today to think on ALL your blessings from the Lord, take a few minutes and write down some of them.
Psalm 103 says “Bless the Lord Oh My soul, and forget not His benefits”
